The place

The architecture
of memory

History, setting and the meeting of art and cuisine

La Bottarga in Filanda

comes to life in the most authentic setting imaginable: a nineteenth-century silk mill in Cannitello, a district of Villa San Giovanni once known as the “little Manchester” and today transformed into a silk workshop-museum. Here, within walls that hold memory and tradition, an experience takes shape that goes far beyond the idea of a restaurant.

It is a space where food meets culture, where history converses with the present and art becomes an integral part of the experience.

“Every detail is designed to tell a story.”

Here food meets culture

and art enters the experience: menus inspired by fabric sample books, tables born from reclaimed disused machinery, plates interpreted by illustrators, a mise en place created by master ceramists, staff in tailored natural-fibre garments inspired by the elegance of the early twentieth century.

It is a space where every detail invites you to rediscover the value of your own roots, turning a simple dinner into a

deep journey through history, art and taste.
